We also had the sinus CT scan to check his sinuses as he has chronic sinusitis. We gave him a premed of dormicum which he fell asleep but as soon as I put him on my lap to go for a wheelchair ride to radiology he woke up. I think he is becoming too smart knowing although the wheelchair ride is fun it always ends up by those noisy x-ray machines. He was extremely good, still awake and a bit nervous shaking but he lay still and we managed to do the scan in 5 minutes (thank goodness). The scan was fine and it turns out he is clear which is fantastic. At least no operation needed for that.
Feeds we are still at 75mls an hour on Neocate but we have concentrated it a little to see how he tolerates the increase. They have to take it really slow to make sure he doesn't have a reaction and to make sure his stomach is ok. It's wonderful that he doesn't have that terrible diarrhea anymore. Great to see our little man getting better and better as the days go on.
Jason's ex-teacher was here with her son who got admitted for a rugby injury and when she saw Jason she was horrified at the amount of weight he has lost. He HAS lost plenty but since being here he has actually gained.
